Mary Waddington
Mary Waddington is a freelance fine art photographer and photojournalist who works under grants and commissions. Her interest in storytelling dates back thirty-five years, when she began recording oral histories to accompany her photographs of local people living frugally and close to the land. Soon, she created multimedia educational programs around the edges of a medical career. Now retired, she teams with Mary Schilling, an audio documentary producer who shares her love of the natural world. As co-producers, they document the rapidly disappearing skills and values of people who make their living off the land and water. Mary enjoys drama, ballet, journaling, sailing, and pastoral care visitation.
